Fun Baby Shower

Celebrating the impending arrival of a baby is a great reason for friends, family, and colleagues to get together. Take a look at our inspiring baby shower game ideas to make the shower one to remember. Check out our tool to learn more about what you'll need and how to play each game.

If your shower has a theme, you’re on the right track. But if you’re still in the early planning stages, some of these ideas might help you choose your party's personality. Click on a game type below to discover fun game ideas.

Icebreaker Games :

When planning a baby shower one of the first things you’ll need to do is send an invitation to all the guests. With this game, when you send the invites out, ask everyone to bring a baby photo. Collect all the photos at the beginning of the shower. Later on, post the pictures around the party room with a number attached to each one. Distribute numbered, blank lists, and have each guest guess who is pictured in each photo.

Bobbing for Pacifiers :

Fill a large tub with water and place it in the kitchen or outside. Fill the tub with pacifiers, and let the guests try their luck at bobbing for pacifiers with their hands behind their back. If you want, you can buy some small prizes and number them, and have the pacifiers numbered, too. Afterward, you can carefully wash and sterilize the pacifiers, place them in a box with a ribbon, and give it to the mom-to-be.

Funny Games :

Ask guests to write down a parenting saying or piece of advice that they associate with their mom or dad on a slip of paper. It should be short. Then, put all the slips in a bowl, mix them up, and let everyone draw one (making sure no one draws her own saying). Have fun guessing who wrote each saying, and whether she would say it to her own child.

Ice Ice Baby! :

For a unique baby shower game, place the plastic babies in the ice tray, pour water over them, and freeze the night before. When the guests arrive, remove the babies from the ice tray and put an ice baby in each person's drink. Your guests will need to pay attention to the melting baby, and shout the words “My water broke!” when the baby completely melts out of the ice cube. The first who calls it wins.

Play Dough Babies :

Get your guests’ creative juices going with play dough. Give everyone a baking cup and a few different colored pieces of dough, and set a timer for 15 minutes. The aim of the game is to see who can create the cutest dough baby in the given time. You can make things fun by adding plastic knives, pencils, or anything else that can help your guests get artistic. Of course, mom decides the winner.

Balloon Baby Twister :

Have each participant blow up at least one balloon and place it under her shirt to make the "baby." Then play a hilariously awkward game of Twister. You can give prizes for the most twisted pose, most balloons carried under the shirt, and the least number of popped or dropped balloons. Let the mom-to-be sit in a chair and be the judge while enjoying the fun.

Baby Shower Bingo :

Before the party, print out our baby bingo sheet and give one to each guest. Hand each guest a card, which should be unique for everyone with a different combination of gifts. Then, as the mom-to-be opens her gifts, guests can mark off any items received with a sticker or cross it out with a pen. The first guest to complete a row, column, or diagonal wins!
